Didier Drogba, the former Chelsea star retires from football

The former Ivory Coast skipper and Chelsea forward, Didier Drogba, retires from professional football after twenty (20) years.

The retirement news came on Wednesday from the 40 years old player himself who had 381 appearances for Chelsea football club and scored a total of 164 goals.

Didier Drogba won four (4) Premier League titles, four (4) FA Cups  and Champions league cup in 2012 with Chelsea.

The former Ivory Coast captain scored 65 goals for his home country making him the highest goal scorer for “The Elephant”

He is one time African footballer of the year and a winner of the Golden Boot in the premier league. Before his retirement,  he played for Phoenix Rising.
