Mr Eazi’s Empawa Africa Competition To Select Next Top Music Star

Mr Eazi’s Empawa Africa Competition is set to select and empower young and talented Africa musician through the Empawa foundation.

The Empawa Africa foundation is an initiative from one of Africa’s finest musician, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr. Eazi.

The next edition of Empawa Africa competition is tagged, #Empawa30. As an upcoming artist, to stand the chance of winning the $10,000 usd, an artist is required to create a one minute video of his/her song with the tag #empawa30.

The empawa music competition started in 2018 and 100 upcoming African musician who were selected got their music video sponsored by Mr. Eazi.

Mr. Eazi noted that the idea came as a result of the drive to motivate upcoming artist from Africa who might not have the platform to push their art because of financial constraints.

According to Mr. Eazi, as culled from CNN, the artist said, “I wanted to be a businessman, I never believed I could be an artist, but people kept telling me I could do it. Given the kind of support I got then, I want to give back.”

Music artists like Lil frosh and Joeboy are some of the musician that the empawa platform had brought into limelight.

The 2019 edition of the empawa competition is proudly supported by YouTube Music.
