In a bid to find suitable drug or vaccine for the treatment of corona virus (Covid-19), four drugs has been on trial for the possible cure of the deadly disease.
THE DRUGS THAT ARE ON TRIAL INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING
Remdesivir
This is an antiviral drug manufactured for the treatment of Ebola disease. The drug was not effective in the treatment of Ebola but in 2017, scientists later discovered that the drug will be effective in the treatment of SARS and MERS.
As a result of the conviction that Remdesivir would be able to treat SARS and MERS, the WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION suggests that the drug will undergo clinical trial in more than ten (10) countries suffering from the outbreak of Corona Virus (Covid-19).

These are drugs used for the treatment of Malaria. This is one of the oldest antimalarial drugs that have been used to fight malaria in different country especially in Africa.
According to scientists, the drug prevents the virus from replicating at a faster rate.

The WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION also put into consideration the use of HIV drugs, Liponavir and Ritonavir with the addition of Interferon Beta. These HIV drugs are used by HIV patients.
According to reports, the drug has been tested on Covid-19 patients in France and China.
